How large a tree can be transplanted?
Trees up to a few inches across the trunk move well with the right technique. Bigger than that, we look at it case by case. Whether it takes depends on the root ball, the species, the season, and the aftercare. We will tell you honestly what your odds are.
How should I water a newly planted tree?
A slow, deep soak beats a daily sprinkle. Once or twice a week for the first two growing seasons, less when it rains. We hand you a simple watering schedule with every tree we plant, so you are not guessing.
How far from my house should a tree be planted?
Far enough that the grown tree and its roots are not fighting your house, driveway, or sewer line. For most shade trees that is at least 15 to 20 feet from the foundation. We plan for the size it will be when it is grown, not the little tree you see today.
Do you guarantee the trees you plant?
Yes. If we plant it, we stand behind it. We will walk you through the care after planting, and if something goes wrong early, we come look and make it right. Ask about our replacement terms when you book.
